Knott's Berry Farm
Everyone there had a very good time. At first a few people had a hard time going on some of the extreme rides, but in the end everyone went on most of the rides in the park. The lines in the park were very short that day so we got to go on rides multiple times, even ones that usually might have a few hours of waiting time (waiting in the lines). But over all, I would have to say that everyone had a good time.
Reported by: Paul.

Car wash
The Fellowship members held a car wash at the Chevron Gas Station on the corner of Carson & Crenshaw. Scheduled time was 11 am - 2 pm. However, the teens & adults worked an extra half hour due to public demand!

Over $185 was earned -- the youth split additional earnings made during the last 1/2 of overtime. There was no set fee for their services, only a donation request after the customer's vehicle was washed. Over 25 cars, vans and trucks passed through, averaging nearly $10 per vehicle. Many church members participated and many brought their friends as well.
The Fellowship members agreed to donate $100 of the earnings in the memory of Lance Corporal Jose Antonio Gutierrez who died serving his country in Iraq. He was from Lomita, and North High School in Torrance has set up a Jose Gutierrez Memorial Scholarship Fund to which the funds will be sent.
A BIG THANKS to Patricia, manager of the Crenshaw Carson Chevron station, church members who supported our efforts, and teens, their parents and Judy who all worked hard to make this happen!
